The Giants have cleared their defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul to play tomorrow against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The pass rusher's activation will be the first time he's had any regular season game action since December 28, 2014. After experiencing the amputation of his right index finger upon a July 4th fireworks accident, JPP has been at the forefront (excuse the pun) of many jokes, including his own about the accident.
He returned to practice with the Big Blue this week. Head coach Tom Coughlin spoke highly about Pierre-Paul's comeback. "JPP is in outstanding physical condition so we feel good about accelerating him along," Coughlin said Wednesday.
Despite being one short of an appendage, Pierre-Paul stated this week that "there's nothing I can't do." He believes can continue to be better than ever after suffering his hand injury.
There is no confirmation how much he will play Sunday. But hey, if neither he nor his team refuses to count him out, then we won't either. (Again, no pun intended).
