O'Shea Jackson Jr. is waiting on a call about Last Friday, and if his agent doesn't come through, he knows who to go to next.
The actor posted on X on Tuesday (Oct. 27), the same day a director was named for the fourth installment of his father Ice Cube's stoner comedy series.
His message was a response to the news that director Lawrence Lamont of One of Them Days will be helming Last Friday.
"I haven't received any emails or calls from my agent about this project. I swear…. to God……I will call mom,” Jackson wrote.
The younger Jackson has a legit acting career that should make his dad consider putting him in the film. Since his breakout in 2015's Straight Outta Compton, taking on the role of his own father in the N.W.A. biopic, Jackson has starred in Ingrid Goes West, Longshot, Cocaine Bear, and the Den of Thieves franchise.
He’s also spent some time in the Friday world this year by starring in "Thursday," a video from the Los Angeles Rams inspired by the franchise.
Interest in Last Friday keeps growing, and the new movie ends a 24-year gap since the previous Friday film.
