BigXthaPlug is a Dallasrapper known for his deep, commanding voice and a direct, no-frills approach to trap music that has made him one of the more distinctive voices out of Texas in the early 2020s. He was born Xavier Landum on May 12, 1998, in Dallas, Texas. He gained significant attention through a series of street-oriented singles and projects that circulated heavily on streaming platforms, building a loyal following in the South before crossing over to broader hip-hop audiences. His music is characterized by slow, heavy production and a delivery style that prioritizes weight and presence over melodic hooks. His profile rose notably through collaborations with other Texas and Southern artists, and his work has been covered by Complex as part of the broader wave of Dallas rap talent gaining national recognition. BigXthaPlug represents a strain of Southern rap that values authenticity and regional identity over crossover appeal, and his growing fanbase reflects an audience that responds to that directness.
