Steph Curry continues to climb the NBA's all-time scoring list, and his latest milestone came during one of the Golden State Warriors' most impressive comeback victories.

The four-time NBA champion passed Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins for 18th place on the league's career scoring leaderboard Friday night (October 30), finishing with 31 points as the Warriors erased a 25-point deficit to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers 112-95 at Chase Center.

According to The New York Post, Curry entered the game needing 25 points to surpass Wilkins, who finished his 15-season career with 26,668 points.

The historic basket came early in the fourth quarter when Warriors rookie Will Richard set a hard screen on Matisse Thybulle, freeing Curry for an open three-pointer off a pass from Draymond Green.

Curry buried his eighth three-pointer of the night to move past Wilkins. The possession also turned into a four-point play after Thybulle was assessed a technical foul.

The milestone was only part of a wild night for Golden State, which found itself trailing 38-15 after the first quarter. The Lakers eventually extended their lead to 25 points early in the second before the Warriors mounted a furious comeback.

Golden State outscored Los Angeles 95-55 the rest of the way, with Brandin Podziemski knocking down a three-pointer just before halftime to tie the game at 53.

The Warriors bench played a major role in the turnaround, outscoring the Lakers reserves 50-7. Podziemski finished with 21 points and six assists, while De'Anthony Melton contributed 16 points.

According to ESPN, Golden State became the first NBA team in 30 seasons to overcome a 25-point deficit and win by at least 17 points.

Curry also delivered one of the game's most memorable highlights in the third quarter when he crossed over Luka Doncic, sending the Lakers superstar to the floor before knocking down a three-pointer.

Curry celebrated by grabbing his face, although Doncic answered with a three-pointer on the following possession. Doncic finished with 37 points, including 21 in the opening quarter.

Following the victory, Curry told the Amazon Prime broadcast crew he "didn’t expect it to get that nasty."

The 38-year-old finished the night shooting 11-of-23 from the field and 8-of-14 from beyond the arc, adding six assists and four rebounds in 31 minutes.

Curry now has 26,674 career points, putting him ahead of NBA legends including Tim Duncan, Paul Pierce, John Havlicek, Kevin Garnett, and Wilkins. His next target is Oscar Robertson, who sits in 17th place with 26,710 points, just 36 ahead of Curry.

The milestone comes amid a strong stretch for the Warriors superstar, who has scored 75 points over his last two games, including a 44-point performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier in the week.

Golden State has now won three consecutive games after opening the season 0-3 and will look to keep its momentum going Sunday against the Los Angeles Clippers.
