Denver Broncos fan Nick Andrew is more than ready to pull the plug on the Paxton Lynch era before it ever really started. Andrew started a GoFundMe page on Saturday with a goal of $600,000 that is intended to help “cover the Denver Broncos cost of cutting” him from the roster. He currently has just $105 raised by 16 people.
Since the Broncos selected with the 26th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Paxton has failed to live up to the expectations that come with a first-round pick, and things got worse on Monday when the latest depth shows him dipping to third on the team’s chart, behind Chad Kelly, who was taken with the last pick (253rd) in the 2017 draft.
Paxton’s rapid fall from grace included a showering of boos from Broncos fans as he came off the field in the team’s first preseason game this past weekend.
The Memphis product finished his first preseason game with just 24 yards and one interception after 6-for-11 passing, and Broncos were already moving on from Paxton, in favor of Kelly.

Considering the Broncos are the 23rd most valuable sports franchise at $2.6 billion, according to Forbes, the team doesn't need any financial help from Andrew and his GoFundMe page. However, the over-the-top gesture towards getting Paxton off the roster could be all the convincing that the organization needs to let him go.
