Steve Madden Is Selling Swagless Yeezy Boost Knockoffs

Steve Madden is the latest brand to blatantly rip off of the adidas Yeezy Boost—and they did it twice.

WTF is going on over at Steve Madden? After getting sued by Skechers last summer for copying a shoe that Skechers actually stole from Nike (yeah, you read that correctly) and catching heat from designer Stella McCartney, Steve Madden is back at it again with more wildly shameless sneaker rip-offs.

Here, Steve Madden went full on fast fashion and tried its hand at imitating design cues of the adidas Yeezy Boost 350. The first pair, pictured above, was spotted on Reddit and jacks the Primeknit pattern and rope laces of the "Turtle Dove" Yeezy Boost 350s. The rest of the sneaker's design is all over the place, with a 3M panel, studded heel tab, and runner midsole, but it's pretty obvious what they were going for here.

As if that wasn't bad enough, there's also the Steve Madden Morlee, a men's slip-on sneaker that's currently available for pre-order. While the Morlee is actually more Vans than it is Yeezy, even an untrained eye could spot the similarities on this one. The marled upper of these slip-ons is clearly meant to imitate the Primeknit of the Yeezy Boost 350—it's even offered in colors reminiscent of the "Turtle Dove" and Pirate Black" Yeezys—and the threaded tabs at its heel and tongue are nearly identical to those seen on the heel of the real deal.
