Lacy claimed his Twitch viewers stuck him with a nearly $12,000 restaurant bill in Japan. The restaurant says he was only charged for what he actually consumed.

The streamer was dining with his girlfriend, influencer Darla Claire, on Oct. 28 when he accidentally showed his table’s ordering QR code during an IRL broadcast. Viewers used it to flood the restaurant with unauthorized food and drink orders.

A server approached the table to ask about the additional orders, leaving Lacy confused before he realized what might have happened.

“They might have seen the QR. No more orders,” he told the employee. The broadcast subsequently went dark for a period.

When he returned, Lacy claimed staff had brought him multiple receipts totaling roughly ¥1.5 million to ¥1.6 million. He described the supposed payment as almost $12,000.

He also claimed he offered to cover the extra food and asked staff to distribute it to families dining at the restaurant.

But Zauo Shibuya disputed his account of the payment. According to a translated Instagram response shared on X and reported by Dexerto, the restaurant confirmed that third parties submitted prank orders but said staff reviewed the orders with the customers and charged only for items they actually consumed.

The restaurant also said its kitchen prepared some dishes before staff realized the orders were unauthorized. Some unwanted food was discarded after the customers confirmed they hadn’t ordered it, according to the translated statement.

Lacy posted a lengthy explanation about the situation on X, saying that he has reached out to Zauo Shibuya "to make things right."
