The Game made sure Adrien Broner apologized after the boxer got into a tense exchange with Brandy and Ray J at State Farm Arena.
Footage circulating online shows The Game confronting Broner over his behavior during the Aug. 15 celebrity boxing event in Atlanta. The rapper told Broner he witnessed what happened and wasn't buying attempts to downplay the situation.
"You let a n***a come over here and talk to Ray J crazy," The Game told Broner. "Yeah, you did. I watched it. I'm an AB fan. Yeah, you did. I watched it."
The drama started during a pre-fight livestream when Brandy entered a room where Broner was sitting. Broner claimed the singer ignored him as she made her way around the room.
"She just walked past me, but it's alright," he said.
Brandy quickly corrected him.
"I didn't walk past you. I spoke to you," she responded. Brandy then remarked that "the energy in here is interesting" before walking away with her security.
Streamer DeenTheGreat stepped in, telling Broner, "That gotta stop," before the two had their own exchange. Broner later reportedly tried to settle things with Brandy backstage, but Ray J intervened and told him, "It's not okay."
The Game later confronted Broner about the situation, particularly how he spoke about Ray J in front of his sister.
"Then you disrespected Ray J, as a brother, right there with Brandy walking in," The Game said.
"I didn't disrespect him," Broner responded.
Broner argued that referring to Ray J as Brandy's younger brother wasn't intended as disrespect.
"At the end of the day, he's a grown man. He is Brandy's little brother," Broner said.
"He is Brandy's little brother," The Game replied, "but maybe he don't want to be."
Broner eventually apologized publicly to a camera.
"I want to apologize again. I'm sorry to Brandy. I'm sorry to Ray J. I didn't mean it like that," he said, before The Game made him also apologize to the West Coast rapper’s mother, Miss Lynette, who had watched the livestream.
Charlamagne tha God also weighed in on the drama and made it clear he didn't like seeing Brandy pulled into the spectacle surrounding her brother's fight.
"I just don't like seeing Brandy in that mix," Charlamagne said, describing the surrounding chaos as a "n***a mess."
Brandy had attended the event to support Ray J, who defeated Orlando Brown by unanimous decision on a card headlined by Claressa Shields and streamed on Zeus Network.
Throughout the buildup, Brown repeatedly tried to bring Brandy into his feud with Ray J, referring to him as "Brandy's brother" and even claiming before the fight, "Brandy don't even talk to you until you talk to me."
Ray J attempted to keep his sister out of it.
"Let's keep this between me and you," he told Brown.
