Everything Druski Did During His 'Saturday Night Live' Debut

You can see everything (Druski did on 'SNL')

This past Saturday, Druski became the first digital creator to host an episode of NBC’s Saturday Night Live. While a decent chunk of America might have been seeing Druski do, well, anything for the first time on Saturday, those who know were tapped in, supporting one of today’s most consistent creators as he continues his steady rise into the mainstream. (There was a reason Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock showed up to show Druski love during the end credits.)

What’s funny is that even for those who should know Druski, who recently turned one of his best skits into an upcoming Netflix series, Druski felt like a regular SNL cast member during his debut. His natural ability to become characters and his willingness to throw his body into the joke occupied a wide-open lane on SNL, and Druski put in work throughout the 90-minute runtime.

For those of you who missed it, don’t worry; here’s a look at everything Druski did during his Saturday Night Live debut.

Druski’s monologue

If you were shocked to see Emma Stone during Druski’s monologue, you shouldn’t be; over the summer, it was announced that Druski joined the cast of the 2027 baseball comedy The Catch, which stars Stone and Chris Pine.

It was also dope to see Druski incorporate his family; his grandmother is part of a lot of his work, and she got a big laugh during the monologue.

“Washington in Focus”

In this sketch, Druski is a correspondent on a political show on BET; the segment is devoted to bigging up the Blue Wave, with jokes aimed at folks shouting out Black people who may not actually be Black.

“Dru Can See Everything”

Not to say that this episode of SNL peaked early, but this brilliant You Can See Everything parody is quite literally Druski’s bag. Somehow, Druski manages to play both Nathan Fielder and Elizabeth Holmes in this one. If only we could get the three-hour version of Dru Can See Everything!

“Bubu Mobile”

You could see the chemistry between Druski and Marcello Hernández in the pre-episode promo; putting them together is genius. One of the better sketches of the night, off energy alone.

“Birthday Girl”

This sketch has its moments, and the bulk of them revolve around Druski’s character, who’s celebrating their birthday (which may have happened a few months ago). Anyone going to tell her how to pronounce “fajitas”? No? Neither are we.

“New Health Tracker”

Turning the guy who comments on random passers-by into the motivation some people need to get right is the exact kind of social commentary Druski plays perfectly.

“Proposal”

This sketch shows Druski leading a group of musicians hired after a wedding proposal in a restaurant, with much of it centered on the woman saying yes. This is what happens when she says “no,” but the band in charge of the music doesn’t realize she said “no”.

“Wedding Photographers”

This is where the aforementioned physical comedy comes into play, as Druski is rolling all over the floor trying to get the perfect shot as one of the super annoying wedding photographers in this sketch.

“Golden Age of Hip Hop”

Druski’s final sketch finds him as part of Lenny & The Street Smart Crew, a hip-hop group from the early ‘90s that was as socially conscious as a hip-hop group from the early ‘90s could be. (Did they have five 8 Ball jackets lying around in wardrobe?!)
