T-Pain has begun his television journey with the launch of a new dating show starring his longtime DJ.

On Thursday (Nov. 5), the singer took to his Instagram to share the trailer for Searching for a Third, which will be his first original program on Nappy Boy Network. Along with creating and executive producing the series, T-Pain will host the program, which follows the "polyamory journey" of DJ Montay and his partner, singer Shonte Renee.

In the teaser, Renee shares that she considers herself bisexual and the couple discussed adding a third to their relationship shortly after they started dating.

"He’s a loyal guy and he doesn’t really be lying or cheating or nothing," the singer said.

According to XXL, the couple meets a group of women who want to join their relationship and through a series of first dates and chemistry tests, will decide which contestant is the best fit.

T-Pain has been married to his wife, Amber Najm, for 23 years and the spouses have participated in threesomes beginning in 2009, which the singer revealed on a 2019 episode of The Breakfast Club. The couple share three children.

R&B singers Ne-Yo and Akon have also publicized their ENM (Ethical Non-Monogamy) lifestyles and have multiple partners. In June, Akon, who practices polygamy, told Complex's Izzy Izzo that he advises Ne-Yo, who practices polyamory, to be "honest” with his three girlfriends.

"I just tell him to be a man," Akon said at the time. "Look at him. He's living his best life. Why? Because he's staying down to what it is he wants. And you’ve just got to be honest. It's literally that simple."

Searching for a Third premieres Wednesday, November 11 at 8 P.M. ET on YouTube via Nappy Boy Network, with new episodes being posted weekly. The season ends with a two-part reunion special in early 2027.
