Meagan Good credits her second husband, actor Jonathan Majors, with giving her the space to heal following her 2022 divorce from entertainment producer DeVon Franklin.
The former Harlem actress discussed her marriage to Majors on the Wednesday (Oct. 28) episode of Angie Martinez IRL, sharing around the 16-minute mark of the video below that she had gotten through “storms” before meeting her now-husband. Good and Franklin were married from 2012 to 2022 and published self-help book, The Wait, in 2015.
In 2023, Majors, who starred in Creed III, Ant-Man: Quantumania and Lovecraft Country, was found guilty of misdemeanor assault and harassment. The actor was sentenced to a 52-week counseling program and throughout the trial, he was supported by Good, whom he married in 2025.
“I had already been through a lot of just different public things and people picking at me and people deciding who I was or deciding that I was the bad guy or whatever it was,” Good told Martinez. “And so when I got to this place, I just was so in my skin, even though I was still healing, I was just like, I just know what I know that I know.”
The actress added that being on trial was “blindsiding” for Majors, but the couple were a “blessing” to each other through mutual support.
“He's been an angel to me in a totally different way where what I was dealing with privately that people aren't really aware of,” she explained. “He brought me through and breathed life back into me. He's such a godsend. We were really want each other needed.”
Good added that their first year of marriage was “amazing” because they were able to lean on each other through public scrutiny, which she described as being on different steps of a relationship.
Majors has similarly praised his wife in interviews, sharing on a February episode of BET’s For The Fellas that the actress helped him “rebuild.” In an interview with The Breakfast Club the year before, Majors shared that Good lost endorsement deals because of their relationship.
