Keke Palmer has received a major position within the BET family.
With the 2026 BET Awards just days away, the network has appointed the I Love Boosters actress to its inaugural Board of Advisors, according to an official press release. The announcement makes Palmer, 32, the newest member of a founding class that includes BET co-founder Bob Johnson, Queen Latifah, and LL Cool J.
Also on the board is Troy Vincent, executive vice president of football operations at the NFL; Raymond J. McGuire, president of Lazard; and George Cheeks, chair of TV media at Paramount.
In 2014, Palmer hosted former BET talk show Just Keke. At 20 years old, she became the youngest talk-show host in television history. Palmer’s milestones include being the first Black actress to star as Cinderella on Broadway and being a two-time Emmy winner.
"Keke Palmer represents the future of entertainment," said BET President Louis Carr. "She understands audiences, embraces innovation, and has consistently used her platform to open doors for others. Her insight, creativity, and entrepreneurial mindset will be invaluable as we continue positioning BET for the next generation."
In addition to television and film, Palmer has grown her music career for over 15 years, her latest project being 2023 album Big Boss. The media entrepreneur also developed digital platform KeyTV Network in 2021, which distributes content and web-only shows.
The news of Palmer’s BET position was delivered last week by former 106 & Park host Terrence J, who visited BET's offices with Palmer.
