Austin McBroom sent quite the message at Brand Risk 15 in his first boxing match since 2023.
The YouTuber-turned-influencer knocked out FaZe Temperrr with a single left hand at 1:37 of round one Saturday night, winning the main event of Adin Ross' Brand Risk 15 card at the Brand Risk Warehouse in Miami.
Temperrr, born Thomas Oliveira and a co-founder of FaZe Clan, leaned on his length and size advantage, but was no match for McBroom.
The crowd reacted with shock as Temperrr struggled to recover. The commentary team shared in the concern over whether he would make it off the canvas.
The result was an unlikely one on paper. McBroom had not competed since April 2023 and carried a 0-1 professional record into the fight. Temperrr, who entered at 1-1 with prior influencer boxing experience that included a bout against KSI, was viewed as the more seasoned fighter.
The stoppage drew an unexpected spectator in the stands. UFC CEO Dana White was spotted watching Brand Risk 15 during the same time window as the UFC Sacramento card.
Elsewhere on the card, Gabe Silva, the son of Anderson Silva, defeated Kimbo Slice Jr. via second-round TKO at 2:58, surviving an early knockdown before landing the finishing blow. Adin Ross vowed to give both fighters a bonus. The Larry Wheels vs. Vitaly bout ended in a no-contest after Wheels knocked Vitaly down viciously inside 90 seconds before suffering a torn muscle, prompting the Florida Athletic Commission to intervene.
Bryce Hall was spotted at ringside and has been floated as a potential next opponent for McBroom at a future Brand Risk show. The pair had previously fought in 2021, with McBroom winning by TKO.
