Worldwide Wednesday: The 10 Hottest Women from New Mexico
When you hear New Mexico, there's usually one thing that comes into everyone's mind: aliens. True, the 47th state, which achieved statehood on January 6, 1912, is infamous for its UFO conspiracy theories and all of that Roswell hullabaloo, but the state's residents would beg to differ. Not only is the "Land of Enchantment" supposedly nicknamed for its scenic beauty, but apparently its female population as well. Hmm, we're beginning to think they, too, are out of this world. #10. Annabeth Gish
Hometown: Albuquerque
Claim to fame: Alright, so the FlashForward actress is sexy in the hot soccer mom/junk-in-the-minivan-trunk sort of way. To be fair, the state is a hot, uninviting desert, so people need to be a bit more subjective about their attraction. Thus, we love that she's ambitious enough to have starred in classics like Mystic Pizza, SLC Punk and The West Wing. Yup, she's got a smokin', um, resume.

Hometown: Albuquerque
Claim to fame: Age-wise, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member may be past her prime, but the fact that this doctor's wife is also the heiress to the Maloof fortune buys her a top ten spot on our countdown.

Hometown: Artesia
Claim to fame: After starring as Babe Carey on All My Children from 2003 to 2007, the actress moved onto small roles in 27 Dresses and When In Rome. Slowly but surely, her Julianne Moore (who started off in As the World Turns) approach to her career will garner the blonde stunner some film success, so we're jumping on the bandwagon now in case it does.

Claim to fame: After her first 15 minutes of fame as the third runner-up in the first cycle of America's Next Top Model, Sewell gained a minute and 30 seconds more after her infamous profanity-filled confessional clip from the show got her the 16th spot on E!'s Most Outrageous TV Moments in 2005. In 2011, the model gained yet another 30 seconds with this blurb.

Claim to fame: With her reign as Miss New Mexico 2010 coming to an end after the crowning of Brittany Toll for 2011, the 18-year-old is gunning for the top spot at the Miss USA 2011 pageant on January 15th. Taking the state's top honor might just be her stepping stone to either fame or infamy, depending on the possibility of naked photos leaking or her pulling a Carrie Prejean during the Q&A for the national event.

Claim to fame: It turns out McLovin's object of affection in Superbad, "Nicola," also goes by one name in real life. The only difference is that his sounds like a 1970's porn star's moniker and the Black Velvet actress's sounds like cold-sore medication. Well, at least they complement each other.

Claim to fame: New Mexico surely boasts beautiful pageant queens. OK, so even though they're supposed to be beautiful by default, Miss New Mexico 2009, who placed in the the top seven at Miss USA 2010, embodies the "Land of Enchantment" that we would want to explore. She's probably heard that pick-up line before.

Claim to fame: The 5th runner-up on the 12th cycle of America's Next Top Model didn't end her career after Tyra killed her dreams; she's since gone on to model for Nylon, Reebok, Revolve Clothing, Abercrombie & Fitch and Target.

Hometown: Albuquerque
Claim to fame: The budding LiLo, Disney and Wilmer Valderrama connection included, is currently spending some time in rehab to allegedly treat an eating disorder and self-mutilation problem. The Sonny with a Chance actress and singer decided to check herself in after punching her back-up dancer in the face. The 18-year-old's clearly got issues, but at least she's mature enough to admit them before jail makes her do it.

Claim to fame: It all makes sense now! Of course she's from Roswell, because the fact that she hasn't aged in 15 years isn't humanly possible. Truthfully, we don't care how she stays young or what kind of babies come out of her if we ever wife her up (again); all we know is that this was a no-brainer, because there is no woman in the entire state of New Mexico who could possibly be as hot as Ms. Moore.
