Robert De Niro has played so many gangsters that he's practically an honorary mob boss. Not only has he headlined Goodfellas, Casino, and Analyze This, but the role that arguably launched his career was Vito Corleone — the godfather himself — in The Godfather: Part II. But according to Cigar Aficionado, the man who made his name in mob movies hasn't seen a single episode of The Sopranos.
In an interview with the magazine, De Niro revealed that he's not much of a TV watcher:
"I heard about it," De Niro later adds. "It was very good." Yeah, you could say that.
Granted The Sopranos aired from 1999 to 2007, an era devoid of Netflix, Hulu, and HBO Now, but David Chase's famous series is now available to stream in full. What with his slew of recent projects it's not like De Niro has a lot of free time, but surely even he can enjoy the deep sense of peace and accomplishment that comes from a good binge watch. Someone get the man their HBO Now password, stat — that's an offer he really can't refuse.
