Britney Spears’ ex-husband, Kevin Federline, is reportedly facing a six-figure lawsuit over unpaid credit card, line of credit, and overdraft fees.
As reported by Page Six, the 48-year-old former backup dancer and DJ allegedly owes around $117,704 to City National Bank thanks to unpaid bills related to a credit card, a line of credit, and an overdraft account. According to the court documents cited in the report, Federline signed an agreement with the bank in November 2024, which coincides with him receiving the final child support payment from his ex-wife, with whom he shares two sons. She filed for divorce from him in 2006, which they finalized the next year.
Federline was granted sole physical custody of their children in 2007, and in 2008, a court ruled that he would receive child support. Those payments came to an end in 2024 after both of their children turned 18, but at one point, he was getting as much as $40,000 per month. In his memoir, You Thought You Knew, he said that those payments helped support their two children and provide security for them.
“The money was gone almost as soon as it came in,” he claimed.
In the lawsuit, City National Bank asserted that Federline was given a deadline of August 2026 to pay off his credit card debt, while his personal line of credit was due to be paid by June 2025. His personal overdraft account was also to be paid around the same time in 2025. The bank also stated that Federline has accrued significant interest on the debts, with the credit card sitting at 20.5 percent APR while the overdraft is 18 percent and the line of credit is at 7.5 percent.
Following his relationship with Spears, Federline went on to marry former volleyball player Victoria Prince, whom he met in 2008. They have since had two daughters, one born in 2011 and another in 2013, and moved to Hawaii in 2014.
