The H3 Podcast, a popular podcast hosted by husband-and-wife duo Ethan and Hila Klein, has announced an “indefinite hiatus” following accusations of a six-month-long affair.
In a post shared on Instagram on Thursday (Oct. 22), Hila alleged that her husband had been cheating on her.
“I am living in a nightmare I can’t wake up from,” wrote Hila, who shares three children with Ethan. “My husband has been having an affair. I have been fed lie after lie after lie for months. I am tired of lies. Here is the truth. …. He finally admitted he’d been in an affair for over 6 months, the extent of which I’m sure I still don’t know.”
She said that she feels an “immeasurable” amount of “betrayal” following his confession. “The person I loved and trusted for 20 years evaporated overnight. He was my safe place, my partner in marriage, parenting, and business,” he continued. “My only family on this side of the world. How do I even begin to make sense of this.”
The crew behind the podcast later confirmed that they will “stand with” Hila, and have announced an “indefinite hiatus” for the H3 Podcast.
“We are all shocked, angry, and heartbroken to learn about Ethan’s ongoing affair,” the H3 team wrote in a statement. “As soon as we found out, we all agreed: we would not continue working with Ethan involved or profiting in any way. We don’t yet know what that means for the future. There’s a lot to work through, and we wish we had more answers for you.”
Ethan, 41, met Hila, 38, during his Birthright Israel trip in 2007, at which point she was serving in the Israel Defense Forces. They later launched a YouTube channel in 2011 and got married the following year. It is unclear who will retain the H3 Podcast rights, or if they will come to a two-podcast solution.
Ethan Klein previously also hosted the podcast Leftovers with popular political Twitch streamer Hasan Piker, but the podcast came to an abrupt end after they fundamentally disagreed about Palestine and Israel following the October 7 attacks in 2023. In the years since, Ethan Klein has repeatedly criticized Hasan Piker on social media.
Following the news of Ethan’s affair, Hasan reacted by sharing an old video in which Ethan criticized men who cheat on their wives.
