Jack Harlow has teamed up with Babyface on "Too Soon," a slick new track taken from his latest EP — check out the video below.

On Friday (November 6), the Kentucky rapper released Sweet Action II, the sequel to his breakthrough 2020 EP of the same name. Alongside the drop, Harlow shared a video for the project's lead single.

"Too Soon" deals with a breakup. Its hook is a plain question: "Is it too soon / Too soon for me to love somebody new?" The video, directed by Rosie Marks, spins the song's conflicted subject matter into a clever funeral visual where a number of guests vie for the attention of the widow.

Harlow premiered the track on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show and told host Jack Saunders the song had been a long time in the making.

"I've been working on this song for actually a few years," he revealed. "This is a song has gone through many iterations, and this is where we landed. So I think part of the reason we wanted to put it out is because we'd been sitting on it for so long, and it still sounded good, and that's not always the case. So it felt like a testament to the longevity."

He described the release as a low-pressure one. "It's just nice to not be too precious over the music and just let some songs out of the hard drive... this song and the whole EP is just a group of songs for the fans," he said.
