Tinashe is showing Republican critics the door after her Election Day post on X drew backlash due to a row of blue hearts.

On Tuesday (Nov. 3), the singer urged fans to get out and vote in the midterms with a post reading "VOTE OR DIE ! LETS GO AMERICA," followed by 12 blue heart emoji.

Though she didn’t explicitly name which candidates or political party she supports, Tinashe’s blue hearts seemingly suggested that she was backing the Democratic Party.

After some users took offense to her apparent support of Democrats, Tinashe brushed them off by writing, "Yall can go."

After other fans brought up the power of her Republican supporters and said they wouldn’t listen to her again, Tinashe fired off another clapback.

"I do not care,” she wrote.

Tinashe isn’t someone to be quiet about her beliefs. In 2020, she went on Rolling Stone's Useful Idiots podcast to talk about her activism around the Black Lives Matter protests and the COVID-19 pandemic.

"It's my responsibility to explain my view on things that matter to me,” she said at the time.

The same year, the singer marched with Black Lives Matter protesters in Los Angeles and later criticized President Donald Trump’s policies.
