Drake’s multi-chaptered approach to celebrating that he’s now 40 years young has expanded to include a “surprise birthday roast,” complete with the “fucking general” himself, Jeff Ross.

Early Wednesday (Oct. 28), Ross, a.k.a the “Roastmaster General,” shared a mid-celebration photo of himself and Drake captured in Houston, Texas.

“Drake enjoying his surprise birthday roast in Houston tonight,” Ross, who soundtracked the Instagram Stories update with Drake’s Iceman track “National Treasures,” said.

The OVO Sound co-founder was quick to respond by sharing the same photo to his own IG and declaring Ross, fittingly, “the fucking general.”

As you might recall, Drake previously said that a roast from Jim Carrey, who tapped into the art form to mark Ross turning 61 in September, was “all I want for my birthday.” At the time, the “Janice STFU” hitmaker was reacting to footage of Carrey’s roast, during which the long-beloved actor joked that Ross was such an “ugly baby” that “God made his mother sign an NDA.”

It wasn’t immediately clear whether Drake’s wish for a Carrey roast of his own was fulfilled.
