Diddy turns 57 today, and 50 Cent, an executive producer on the Emmy-winning Netflix docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning, is marking the occasion with a characteristically tongue-in-cheek Instagram update.
“Happy 57th [birthday], Diddy,” the Street Fighter star wrote in a Stevie Wonder-soundtracked post shared on Wednesday (Nov. 4). “Wishing you many more. LOL.”
Fif included an image of an aged Diddy in his post, though it’s worth noting that a number of photos purporting to show the Bad Boy Records mogul behind bars have been proven to be fake.
Last year, the G-Unit Film & Television founder took a similar approach when Diddy, currently set for release from federal prison in February 2028, turned 56.
As is common knowledge by now, Diddy was found guilty on a pair of prostitution-related counts in July of last year. He was acquitted on the more serious racketeering and trafficking charges he was facing at the time. The trial drew near-constant media coverage, with that attention extending to the aforementioned The Reckoning doc, released in December.
More recently, it was reported that Diddy, previously housed at Fort Dix in New Jersey, had been placed in general population at a low-security federal correctional institution in Pennsylvania.
In a statement shared with Complex in October, a spokesperson for Diddy said they were “pleased” by the reported change.
“His safety and well-being are always important to us, but we have no specific reason to believe he is at risk,” the rep added. “We hope he can continue serving his time safely and without unnecessary disruption.”
