Earlier today, New York Times writer Jon Caramanica sent out a tweet linking to the video above. Filmed by Dream Hampton in 1994, the footage captures a rare moment of Biggie and 2Pac freestyling at the Royalty Hotel. Their friendship soured soon after the recording.
Today marks the 16th anniversary of Biggie's death at the age of 24. Rest in peace.
