Offset seems to be promoting the pay-to-earn app Freecash again.
In a series of posts on his Instagram Stories, Offset shared photos of himself from what appears to be a boat, claiming he was inspired to “bless more people” and spread the word about Freecash after seeing how much some people allegedly made, disregarding the fact that he’s a highly paid rapper.
“If u missed it last time this app is payin yall to play games on ur phone & the more u level up the more u can make,” he wrote. “Link on my next story LETS GO.”
The next Instagram Story post featured a link with the following message: “PLAY GAMES & MAKE 💰”
Offset later sent out a clarification post on his Instagram Stories regarding the use of the word “instant.”
The rapper explained that you can make money on Freecash by putting “some work in.”
“It ain't instant but if u put some work in u can make a couple hunnid a week!” he wrote. “It's just a way to play games and make bread so if u already on ur phone might as well go run it up. Link on my next story tap in.”
While the app isn’t a scam, it’s not the get rich quick secret that Offset and other influencers allegedly make it out to be. You can play games and complete surveys which mostly pay out a dollar or less. Seems like a boat is a long ways away.
