Logic has a new album on the way soon with Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, the official follow-up to last year's YSIV. Somehow, he also found time to write his first novel with Supermarket, which he released alongside a soundtrack album of the same name. While the soundtrack to Supermarket didn't fare too well when it comes to critical or commercial response, the book has made it so he's become the first rapper with a New York Times No. 1 best-selling novel.
Bobby Hall's Supermarket has topped the NYT's Paperback Trade Fiction Best Sellers list, surpassing the three-week holder of the top spot, The Woman in the Window. In response to the news, Logic posted on his Instagram to thank his fans for their continued support. "Humbled. Thank YOU all," he wrote.
Logic hasn't indicated when fans can expect to hear Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, but he has already given everyone a preview with the dramatic, blood-soaked video for the title track. On the song, he addressed comparisons to other rappers, including Drake, Kendrick lamar, and J. Cole. "I ain't good enough, I should quit, I should kill myself / 'Cause you'll never be Kenny' / 'You'll never be better than Drizzy or Cole,'" he rapped.
