Drake made sure he was courtside for the Toronto Raptors’ first game of the 2026-27 NBA season on Wednesday (Oct. 21).
The Raptors faced off against the Chicago Bulls at the Scotiabank Arena on Wednesday, ultimately besting the team 135-92. Drizzy was there courtside to show support for his team, after missing several key games last season due to his commitments working on Iceman and his other two albums, Habibti and Maid of Honour.
The Raptors are currently sitting in the upper half of the odds to come out on top of the Eastern Conference this season, and Drake is clearly eager to see the team do well, too. As of right now, the favorites to win the season come down to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the San Antonio Spurs, and defending champions the New York Knicks.
The Toronto Raptors won their first-ever championship in 2019, and Drake was there every step of the way. When they secured their victory against the Golden State Warriors, the team boasted Kawhi Leonard as their star player. Leonard, who has been the subject of an alleged salary cap circumvention investigation this year, was traded back to the Raptors last month following his time at the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Raptors are scheduled to face off against the Washington Wizards on Friday (Oct. 23), followed by a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday (Oct. 25). It remains to be seen if Drake will also show up courtside for those games, too, or if he’ll only be showing up to Raptors home games as the season gets underway.
