The Colts have lost three games in a row and now sit at 2-5 on the season. They fired longtime GM Chris Ballard last week, and have already begun trading away elite talent for draft capital. ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday that the Colts are trading eight-time Pro Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seahawks in exchange for a 2027 third-round pick, and a 2028 fifth-round pick.
The Colts’ biggest potential trade chip is star running back Jonathan Taylor. There has been buzz in recent days that Colts principal owner and CEO Carlie Irsay-Gordon could be looking to move the RB.
Below, we’ll look at the latest NFL trade rumors surrounding Taylor, with potential landing spots.
Jonathan Taylor to Vikings trade rumors
The Vikings are the last remaining undefeated team in the NFL, but they have accomplished this feat in spite of having one of the worst offenses in the league. Minnesota will almost surely be looking for offensive help ahead of the November 10 NFL trade deadline, and there will be no bigger potential name on the market than Taylor.
In the past four days alone, Rapoport, Schefter and The Athletic’s Jonathan Jones each reported that the Vikings will likely explore a trade for Taylor.
ESPN reporter Stephen Holder believes that teams might be willing to trade at least a second round pick in order to land Taylor via trade.
Jonathan Taylor to Broncos trade rumors
Taylor’s wife, Ayanna, got Broncos Country excited this week as she “liked” a comment by a Broncos fan on her Instagram page.
Ayanna made a video about the speculation of her husband being traded. A Broncos fan with the IG handle of mrrodgers619, commented on her video, “The Broncos welcome you and your family to Broncos Country,” a comment that Ayanna “liked”.
The Broncos are averaging just 94.9 rushing yards per game this season, which ranks 24th in the NFL.
Jonathan Taylor to Seahawks trade rumors
As mentioned above, the Seahawks have already landed one key piece of the Colts’ running attack in recent years as they traded for guard Quenton Nelson.
Could Taylor join Nelson in Seattle?
It’s a possibility as the Seahawks are still looking to fill the void left behind by Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III, who now plays for the Chiefs.
Seattle will be getting some reinforcements at RB soon as first round pick Jadarian Price and veteran Zach Charbonnet are both close to returning from injury.
If Price and Charbonnet turn in lackluster performances in their respective returns, though, then Taylor to the Seahawks trade rumors could heat up.
