Roc-A-Fella records co-founder Kareem "Biggs" Burke is moving the 20th anniversary celebration of Jay Z's landmark debut album Reasonable Doubt from the West Coast to the project's native NYC grounds with a pop-up shop at D&D Recording Studios.
The event will serve as a pop-up shop art exhibition where Reasonable Doubt and Fourth of November merchandise will be available along with new collaborations with luxury brands curated by Fancy.com and a special collaboration with Japanese lifestyle specialist and editor of 411 Magazine, Akira Kōdate.
"For The New York pop-up shop we wanted to deliver something unique to our fans and consumers since it was the birthplace of Reasonable Doubt," Biggs noted in a press release. "The Roc96 exhibition pop-up experience will focus on Jay Z's and Premier's early experience at D&D Studios. This is where Jay created some of his best music before digital."
For his part, Jay is thankful to the fans who have embraced his album over the years. "I'm very humbled that so many hold this album in such a light. It was made for those who understood it. I never imagined it would capture such acclaim," he said in a press release.
The event will be open to the public Oct. 20 through Oct. 23 at 347 West Broadway from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will feature a special DJ lineup featuring Reasonable Doubt and other Roc-A-Fella tribute sets.
