For this year's Autumn/Winter, Barbour have linked up with Universal Works to release a reworked collection of bags. The bags tie in with the two brands' legacies and reputations. Barbour have become a British insitution, making practical and hard wearing apparel and accessories since 1894, while Universal Works have made a name for themselves with their focus on quality and fit since the brand was born in Nottingham back in 2008.

For their joint offering, Universal Works have reworked three classic Barbour bags, with a focus on utilitarian design and contemporary materials. The collection includes three bags for three different settings. The Advance Holdall is perfect for weekends away, while the Alliance Backpack is designed for commuters. The third bag, the Active Tarras, is insipired by Barbour's Country Tarras bag and features a padded laptop compartment and phone slip pocket. The collection builds on Barbour's heritage, with their iconic waxed cotton playing an important role. As well as that, though, it includes the design and quality that Universal Works have become known for.
