In honor of Chinese New Year, Opening Ceremony has announced China as its country of focus for 2016. This means that the retailer will highlight work from Chinese designers from the U.S. and abroad from Ximon Lee to Anna Sui. For its debut, OC has joined forces with the eclectic NYC emporium Pearl River Mart. The vast retail space first opened in 1971 to introduce Chinese-made products from soy sauce to T-shirts to Americans, but has since become a staple in the downtown art scene and a must-see destination in the city.

To celebrate its rich history of uniting East and West, Opening Ceremony and Pearl River Mart have reimagined popular Opening Ceremony silhouettes and classic Chinese garments. Traditional pieces like a jacket with a Mandarin collar and handmade frog closures are given an American update with denim, while Opening Ceremony's classic Varsity Jacket is embroidered with colorful phoenixes and dragons to symbolize of the perfect yin and yang. The offerings also includes a selection of T-shirts and sweatshirts featuring the OC and Pearl River Market logos.

You can shop the collection now at the Opening Ceremony webstore
