Get Ready to See a Lot More from the Fashion Brands You Follow on Instagram

In 2015, the more brands posted to Instagram, the more social media success they found.

A new study may have just given your favorite fashion brands an excuse to clog your Instagram feed.

Fashionista reports that research firm L2, a company that advises brands from Uniqlo to Calvin Klein about getting the most from their digital presence, found that in 2015, the more frequently luxury fashion brands posted on Instagram, the more engagement they were likely to see. In other words, more posts = more likes, more comments, more use of designated hashtags and, theoretically, more followers. It's the stuff of social media marketing dreams.

The high-end brands surveyed posted an average of 10 times per week on Instagram—roughly as often as your average Kardashian—and saw "slightly positive" results. Teen-oriented brands like American Eagle and Aeropostale found even more success going HAM on the 'gram, posting over 25 times a week on average to results that performed even better in terms of engagement.

So, if your feed starts looking like an endless flow of product shots and ad campaign images (as opposed to sunsets and selfies), you'll know who to blame: yourself. After all, the only way to stop brands from killing your social media vibe is to click that unfollow.
