Earlier this month, a 28-year-old Virginia father embarked on a seemingly simple mission: to find his 3-year-old son Caiden the perfect Halloween costume.

The man, Paul Henson, explained to Buzzfeed that he presented the toddler with various options, as he was well aware of how “fickle” children can be. But Caiden had his mind set from the very beginning: He wanted to go as Princess Elsa from Disney’s Frozen.

While some parents would object to dressing their son in a costume marketed towards girls, Henson proudly granted his child’s wishes and shared a photo of Caiden in the princess costume on Facebook.

“Anyone that knows us, knows we generally let Caiden make his own choices, to an extent. Well, he has decided on a Halloween costume. He wants to be Elsa,” Henson wrote in the caption. “Halloween is about children pretending to be their favorite characters. Just so happens, this week his is a princess.”

Not only is he allowing his son to dress up as a princess, he’s also agreed to dress up as Elsa’s little sister, Princess Anna.

Someone hand this dude a trophy.

The post has been shared over 27,000 times, with the majority of comments being positive.

Henson told Buzzfeed that his parents raised him to be himself, and that’s exactly what he and his wife, Ashley Ramage, want for Caiden.

“Support your children, love them, they look up to you as their hereos,” he told Buzzfeed. “Why not help them achieve their goals?”
