Prabal Gurung opened his Spring/Summer 2016 show in the company of Nepalese and Tibetan monks who preceded the runway theatrics with a solemn chant. The lauded Nepalese designer, who was born in Singapore but reared in Kathmandu, notably raised over $600,000 for relief efforts in the aftermath of the April 25 earthquake.

Nepal remained on Gurung's mind at his recent fashion show, done as part of Lexus Design Disrupted.  Dresses inspired by monk robes shared the runway with prints by Indian artist Lehman Shrestha. As part of Design Disrupted, 360-degree photography showed every look at just about every possible angle, resulting in a more immersive, 3D experience.

The front row of the packed show consisted of a mix of fashion industry mainstays like Maxwell Osborne of Public School, J. Crew's Jenna Lyons, and Anna Wintour, as well as a plethora of celebrities ranging from Hailee Steinfeld to Kylie Jenner. Check out the video above to get a closer look at the action.
