There's no doubt that Philly's population is going to swell up during the Made in America music festival. Plenty of dope artists will be flying into the city of brotherly love, but they're not the only ones. According to Philly.com, there's also an influx of major designer labels heading into Philadelphia area codes as a result of the event.

According to the managers at a Bala Cynwyd, Penn. Saks Fifth Avenue, they've called on support from their New York City-based locations. They're asking for supplemental shipments of luxury goods, including: "extra pairs of distressed PRPS Jeans, Giuseppi Zanotti high-tops, and belts with prestigious logos such as Versace, [Salvatore] Ferragamo, and MCM."

Considering that hip-hop is all about being "fresh," it makes sense that concert goers would want to flex while they're out an about over the weekend.

Luis Ortiz, the selling manager Saks' men's store, noted that—starting in 2013—there was double digit growth in sales over during Made in America weekend. Ortiz and his team are preparing for another wild weekend, projecting a 30 percent sales increase, with the possibility of customers buying up to $1000 to $1500 in a single trip.

Saks isn't the only one preparing for the influx of new shoppers; local haunts like Joan Shepp and Boyds Philadelphia are also gearing up for a weekend of big sales. Ellen Shepp, co-owner of Joan Shepp, explains, "Where there is music there is fashion, and our contemporary client will be out strong this weekend."
