Have you ever wondered what it would take to make a suit completely from scratch? Well, Andy George from How to Make Everything decided to find out.
The process ultimately took him 10 months and about $4,000 to complete. He made sure to create the most authentic experience by not skipping any steps in the construction.
To make the fabric, he picked the cotton, sheered the wool, grew his own silkworms, and harvested hemp. He then had to weave and knit each of the materials separately. George also wanted to include animal hide, which required him to shoot a deer and skin it.
After all of the materials were prepped several months later, he finally put together the suit. Unfortunately, after all his work, he still was short on materials, and the suit looks pretty horrible.
As you can see from his long and expensive journey, you should leave it to the professionals.
