This courtroom sketch-turned-meme may be the least accurate depiction of Tom Brady ever produced, but sometimes all it takes in the art world is to be different. The artist, Jane Rosenberg, behind the sketch of Brady in court for his #DeflateGate hearing has been getting inquiries from buyers and even a museum on how they can procure the picture, the New York Daily News reports.
Rosenberg tells the New York Daily News that she's already received over 25 offers from people interested in buying the artwork. The Sports Museum in Boston has also asked the courtroom artist to loan her sketch of the New England quarterback, with other drawings she did during the trial of Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, so the pictures can go on display for a month.
The buying process is clearly in the preliminary stages, as Rosenberg admits no offer has included a concrete amount they'd be willing to pay for it. The artist is also uncertain about what to do with the sketch. "I don’t have a clue what it’s truly worth," she told the NYDN. "This isn’t a normal sketch I’m selling to some assistant U.S. attorney. It might be a different arena entirely — sports memorabilia."
Rosenberg says she is still being harassed about her sketch and had the most legendary response for all the haters. "People who want to be art critics and mean-spirited, nasty," she said. "It just makes me wanna laugh. They’re sad losers."
