As the master of ceremonies at this years MTV VMAs, there was little chance that Miley wasn't going to come through in a series of insane outfits. In a way, she gave a preview of what was to come in her pastie-heavy Jimmy Kimmel appearance earlier last week. Even if you take away her history of wearing crazy designs from friends like Jeremy Scott, Cyrus' penchant for acting out at the VMAs precedes her

No matter how well-acquainted you are with Miley's antics, her lineup of looks tonight is classic Ms. Cyrus.

Starting the night off, Cyrus wore Barbarella-inspired pair a silver overalls on VMAs red carpet leaving little to the imagination. Head-to-toe this comes direct from Versace.

She followed her revealing opening look with a sequin heavy jumpsuit from The Blonds. The rainbow daisy bolero is probably the unofficial "Cha Cha" remix that Miley is never going to release.

Her next appearance on stage was another revealing dress, a white cut-out dress with pom-pom detailing. This look is also courtesy of Versace.

She switched the former for a look that resembled a face—a bra made of eyes, and a skirt shaped to look like pursed lips. Cyrus topped it off with a Courreges visor.

Speaking of Courreges, Cyrus' next look featured vintage Courreges frames as an accent to a clear plastic dress (strategically placed buttons included)

Her next look evokes more of a raver, showcasing her high, pink dreadlock ponytail. Her two-piece bodysuit matched her hair, with Versace medusa heads covering her breasts. (Clearly, "barely there" was a theme for the night)

After witnessing Justin Bieber cry post-VMAs performance, Cyrus made a splash in a silver overcoat that looked ripped right from the family Christmas Tree. Naturally, she threw back her coat to reveal a near-wedgie-inducing leotard.

Her next look is best described as "part LGBT-flag, part beach towel." This look is vintage Prada from 2012.

In her self-proclaimed "serious look" (see: wearing pants) Cyrus came out in a mirror-heavy crop top and pants to match. This look also comes via Italian fashion house Prada.

Rounding out the night, Cyrus performed in an '80s-aerobics inspired jumpsuit that recalled her earlier outfit, with an eye covering her right breast, and a giant pair of lips covering her left.

With one of Miley Cyrus' biggest nights, it's no surprise that (while she still kept her usual unusual steez) she came dripped in designer gear.
