We love J. Crew. It’s affordable, excellent quality, and has really established itself as a one-stop shop for menswear staples. And today, the brand expanded on its already stellar range of clothes with the re-launch of its men’s denim line, updated with new fits and premium materials.

For this release, the J. Crew team linked up with denim experts Wonderland Concepts to develop a whole new set of washes—giving customers something fresh, without abandoning its authentic, classic style.

“From the beginning, we knew we wanted our washes to feel as authentic as possible and to reflect wear patterns based on how the body moves,” J. Crew designer Rich Hermosura said. “That meant using jeans we actually wore or vintage styles we picked up over the years as a starting point.”

But in order to really get the washes right, the team knew they had to source some high-quality material. Enter Japanese textile house Kaihara mill, which has been producing some of the best indigo-dyed fabrics for over 100 years.

“We chose the Kaihara mill because Japanese denim is produced with a real love of craft,” Hermosura said. “The fabric is treated like an art form, and there’s a deep commitment to tradition and heritage.”

In addition to the new denim, J. Crew also dropped a selection of footwear, including its collaborations with New Balance, Alfred Sargent, and Red Wing.
