H&M Is Planning to Launch a Completely New Brand

H&M discusses plans for a new brand launch in 2017.

It looks like H&M is looking to expand its empire with the launch of a new brand. According to Bloomberg,the fast fashion giant is currently working on a plan for the concept. Unfortunately, there are few details about what the brand will entail, other than it will be nothing like the retailer's current flagship label or its sister brands. 

The head of H&M's investor relations Nils Vinge confirmed, "there are some concrete things" being considered for the new endeavor and that there’s a department within the retailer that’s “looking into new things all the time." The new brand is set to launch in 2017.

 Vinge also shared that the retailer plans on expanding its smaller labels like the Swedish brand COS
