Boston retailer Bodega and Fred Perry roll deep. After several collaborations under their belt, the two brands have reunited for a special project that highlights the Raf Simons x Fred Perry Spring/Summer 2015 collection. And they’ve decided to tap into Fred Perry's offbeat roots.
Shot around Boston, the exclusive editorial emphasizes Fred Perry’s street-centric style that was so prevalent in London’s 20th century subcultures, such as punk, jazz, and ska. The vibrant depiction of streets and subway stations provides a nice contrast to the selection of preppy threads. Items like polos, crewnecks, outerwear, and trousers retain their timeless appeal but have been upgraded with bold detailing, prints, and graphics often associated with the Raf Simons aesthetic.
The editorial also showcases the new collection of Fred Perry footwear, which delivers a clean range of kicks dominated by lowtops and chukkas.
