A Bathing Ape is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its New York flagship store in a huge way. The streetwear O.G. unveiled its anniversary collection, which includes collaborations with Big Sean, Pusha T, Kid Cudi, Travi$ Scott, Stash, Futura, Flatbush Zombies, Wiz Khalifa, Def Jam Recordings, and RSVP Gallery. There was a ton of buzz surrounding the release—no surprise then that there was a line outside the SoHo store when the collection dropped this past Saturday.
We stopped by the BAPE store pre-release to talk to Pusha T, Flatbush ZOMBiES, and Stash about their collaborations, plus some of their fondest memories of the brand. Virgil Abloh, who stopped by the after party at Up & Down in Manhattan, also shared a story of being at the store when it first opened with Kanye West and Yasiin Bey.
The 10th anniversary collection is available at BAPE's New York flagship and online now, and will be at BAPEXCLUSIVE Aoyama, and Dover Street Market Ginza on May 2.
