Iconic artist Jean-Michel Basquiat is probably more famous now than he was when he was alive, but we still don't really know much about who he was in his mind. There have been exhibitions, films, and documentaries about his life that tell pieces of the story, but Basquiat was by all accounts a very complex person. For its latest issue, T Magazine shares a look at some of the artist's "unknown notebooks" from the collection of Larry Walsh, which will go on display at the Brooklyn Museum this April.

It's cool to see the hand-written notes, sketches, and poems that Basquiat wrote for himself, even though we still don't know exactly what it all means.

To learn more about the feature and the cool rare notebooks, head over to T Magazine.
