Michael Pitt isn’t the only Boardwalk Empire star to nab a Spring 2015 campaign. Actor Michael Zegen, who played hit man Benny Siegel on the HBO series, has been recruited as the new face of Ovadia & Sons for the upcoming season.
Brothers Ariel and Shimon Ovadia, the minds behind the New York-based menswear brand, wanted to emphasize the turbulent energy of the city, but in a way that was effortlessly cool and convincing. And who better to convey that message than the 35-year-old East Coast native, who has starred in a number of other NYC-based shows like Girls, Rescue Me, and How to Make it In America.
"The inspiration for the campaign was to translate the spirit and sometimes chaotic energy of New York to ease, elegance, and rawness that’s authentic," Shimon told Style.com. "After watching him on Boardwalk Empire, we met Michael and he reflected all of those things to us. He’s a talented and humble actor who hails from New York, and he reflects what Ovadia & Sons is about."
