Following his dope exhibition of paintings inspired by model Adrianne Ho's Instagram, conceptual artist Ryder Ripps will present a site-specific exhibition later this month for Red Bull Studios New York titled "ALONE TOGETHER."

According to the press release, the exhibition opens on Feb. 28 to the public and will continue to explore themes present in the artist's previous work, examining our relationship with technology and virtual environments. Sculptures and performances throughout the space will work to present the idea to viewers that "the more connected we are online, the more physically withdrawn we become."

The release further explains the experience that will await the lonely collective that enters Red Bull Studios New York: "The upstairs replicates the solitary voyeurism found in the online viewing experience while the downstairs performance enacts the corporal aspects of a network. Viewers are confronted by six performers/users – whose collective digital output is harnessed and fed into a singular, frenzied tableau– a representation of the voracious social feed."

For the occasion of the exhibition, digital arts collaboratory Powrplnt and City As School will be offering free courses on 3D printing, coding, and other digital art production skills for the duration of the six-week exhibition. For more information, head to the Red Bull Studios New York website.
