Rag & Bone has joined forces with Michael Pitt. Again.
The American fashion label has used the Boardwalk Empire actor for three consecutive seasons. But for Spring/Summer 2015, Pitt was on both sides of the camera for the label’s first conjoined men’s and women’s campaign co-starring actress Astrid Berges-Frisbey.
“We have never explored shooting our menswear and womenswear campaign together before and it definitely added a new dimension,” said Rag & Bone co-founder David Neville. “Michael and Astrid also have great chemistry which really translates.”
Marking Pitt’s directorial debut, the 12-minute film was shot in NYC and is presented in Rag & Bone’s customary black-and-white cinematography. Photographer Glen Luchford, who is also a Rag & Bone favorite, took supplementary images during the shoot for the collection’s print campaign.
“As a brand, we love to explore engaging mediums of showcasing our collections and this season we wanted to try a different approach with a film-led campaign,” co-founder Marcus Wainwright added. “We thought it would be cool to have a narrative of sorts for the first time.”
