Altering photos is standard procedure in the fashion industry, however one high school is adopting the practice for its students' yearbook photos. A Reddit poster outed her all-girls high school after she and her classmates received new student IDs that had photoshopped their yearbook pictures beyond recognition.

According to the poster, the students were issued a second round of ID cards and noticed that the photos had been manipulated into making them appear more attractive. In the case of the above student, the before and after pictures seem to show two completely different people. The student lists "face smoothing, skin recoloring, lip recoloring, eyebrow smoothing and reshaping, and face thinning" as all the changes made to her particular photo.

The poster noted that when going to take yearbook photos, students "are flat out told that our skin will be retouched to hide blemishes," but it's clear that the images were manipulated much more dramatically than that.

This continues an alarming trend after a Utah high school used Photoshop to add more clothes to female yearbook pictures.
