Between releasing its debut denim line and a World Cup-inspired collection that offered a luxe update to a classic soccer kit, rising British brand Clothsurgeon has really been killing it lately. Now, proving that it draws influence from a plethora of places, it's releasing a special collection inspired by the Surrealism art movement and the work of such greats as Salvador Dali, Man Ray, Jean Cocteau, and Schiaparelli.
Imagery from these artists influenced all aspects of the collection including color palettes, details, shapes, silhouettes, and fabrics. However, while Surrealist works were sometimes unnerving and illogical, these pieces stick close to Clothsurgeon's clean aesthetic. Pieces include bomber jackets, tracksuits, and overcoats in luxe fabrics, as well as Italian-made knitwear and Japanese selvedge denim. Some of the unique fabrics incorporated include speckled tweed wool, deer skin, goat suede, and wool cashmere blends. As always, there is a strong emphasis on high-quality production and impeccable fit.
