PROMO: Sony aFull-Frame Sensors — Let There Be Light

Larger sensors on the Sony α7 series cameras eliminates noise for a clearer picture.

None

If you’ve found yourself yearning to take higher-res, full-framed still images, your moment has arrived. That’s because, in addition to many other perks, Sony’s new line of a7 series mirrorless cameras also feature full-frame image sensors that offer sharper, higher resolution images with beautiful color reproduction.

For those of you unfamiliar with the “full-frame” concept, its explanation is right there in the name. See, most cameras have smaller image sensors, which means less light is taken in by them, which means lower quality pics. But with the Sony a7 series mirrorless cameras, that is no longer the case. They contain full-frame sensors that are much larger than many DSLRs which feature cropped sensors. The larger the sensors, the more light they bring in; the more light they bring in, the better the resulting images. Full-frame sensors also cover a wider viewing angle, making for great wide shots, but can also easily achieve a shallow depth of field, allowing for pinpoint focusing and incredibly sharp detail. The larger sensors also allow for much better shooting in low-light situations, producing pictures that have far less noise or pixelization.

So take the noise out of those photographs. Let Sony’s full-frame sensors bring your pictures—and your life—into crystal clear focus.
