"Using imagery referenced from Guintu’s teenage years," writes the gallery, "her work takes on a shrine line quality—embracing the past in a nostalgic reverence." In addition to the paintings, the exhibition will also showcase the artist's life-size taco truck made out of paper maché.

"OBSESSION" will show at the gallery on Santa Monica Boulevard through Jan. 10. Hit up the New Image Art Gallery website for more info.
