You may more commonly know Michael Render, AKA Killer Mike, as one half of hip-hop duo Run The Jewels, or as the rapper featured on countless classic tracks—like Outkast’s “Snappin’ & Trappin’,” Jay Z’s “Poppin’ Tags,” and Bone Crusher’s “Never Scared,”—but one fact about the accomplished artist that may have eluded you all of these years is that he’s the proud owner of a barbershop in his hometown of Atlanta.
It’s not just any old barbershop either; Killer Mike’s Graffiti’s SWAG (which stands for Shaves, Washes, and Grooming) is a one-of-a-kind establishment where The ATL youth can come get quality cuts. However, what sets SWAG apart from the traditional barbershop is that it also doubles as a gathering place for the community—a place that promotes togetherness and looks to have a positive influence on those in need.
