Philadelphia retailer Villa is partnering with Starter and G-III Sports for a collection of satin jackets inspired by college basketball's Big East conference.
The "Midnight Madness" collection features exclusive designs that honor original teams, including UCONN, Syracuse, St. John's, Providence, Seton Hall, Georgetown, and Villanova, from the Big East conference. The collection was inspired by the "many great moments in Big East history," says G-III Sports President Carl Banks, and the retro jackets do provide a throwback to an era when the conference was still the most esteemed in the league.
The Big East collection is just the first set of jackets to be released by Villa and Starter in a series that will presumably honor more historic college sports programs.
